Andreas Bunte will show a selection of clips from scientific research films and related visual material. For Bunte, films and videos made for scientific research escape certain conventional languages of cinema and open conversations into media’s role in “empirical observation." The discussion will consider the films in relation to their pretense of being pure visual information. Andreas Bunte's Audain Visual Artist in Residence is in partnership with the Or Gallery and Republic Gallery, Vancouver and SFU Galleries.
