You are invited to join us for an evening of music, art and conversation!

The Fort Gallery is pleased to welcome local harpist Bernice Mussallem to our September First Thursday. Bernice is inspired by the joy and relaxation the harp brings to people, especially patients. She has witnessed very positive transformations in the elderly, the sick and the dying when they hear the tones of the harp. Bernice was born in Dublin, Ireland and moved to Canada in 1977 after completing her BA Degree at Trinity College, Dublin. Her journey with the harp began 12 years ago and she has been playing at Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission and the Abbotsford Cancer Clinic of the last 6 years. She has just completed two years of study with the International Harp Therapy Program and completed her practicum at The Residence in Mission and the Christine Morrison Hospice.

This month's First Thursday will be held in conjunction with the opening reception of The Fort Gallery's exhibit 'Transition', featuring the combined efforts of two of its own members, Richard Bond and Susan J. Falk. The artists will speak about their current work.
