Hailing from Rosaireville, New Brunswick (pop. 40), Acadian singer-songwriter Lisa LeBlanc — now based in Montreal — is bringing her irresistible charm to the Biltmore Cabaret on March 25 with a unique musical style she describes herself as “folk-trash.” LeBlanc composes rousing, heart-wrenching narratives from everyday tales of friendship and heartbreak, and her work has been compared to the likes of Courtney Barnett, Bob Dylan, and Dolly Parton. Winner of the prestigious Festival international de la chanson de Granby in 2010, LeBlanc has since played more than 400 shows across Canada and Europe, selling more than 140,000 records along the way. With a voice and sound simultaneous rough and soft, you don’t want to miss one of her only two west performances this tour.
