The World Hepatitis Day 2015 Vancouver Planning Committee invites you to our free public event on July 28th!

Event time: 11.00 am – 4.00 pm
Location: Creekside Community Center, 1 Athelete’s Way. Vancouver, BC


World Hepatitis Day is an important opportunity to enhance public awareness and reduce stigma about Hepatitis B & C in Canada. This year our public event will feature guest speakers including persons with lived experience, MLA Darryl Plecas, Dr. Mel Krajden of the BCCDC, Dr Eric Yoshida, former manager and producer of the Rolling Stones Andrew Oldham, and a video address from Dr. Evan Adams. There will also be on-site hepatitis C screening, performances by local artists including the Wild Moccasin Dancers, prizes, food, and the launch of our new hepatitis awareness campaign.


Although there is no vaccination available to prevent hepatitis C, with recent medical advances in treatment it is now curable in many cases, and testing is easy.
