"La Trova Nuestra" está compuesta por un grupo de Trovadores y Trovadoras Latino Americanos residentes en Vancouver. Los Trovadores de la Trova Nuestra poseen y practican la tradición musical heredada de los pioneros del canto vernáculo, la cuál se evidencia en el encuentro de la música y la poesía. Esta tradición es la fundación y la esencia de la cultura popular en el Canto Nuevo que expresa el diario vivir de los pueblos en las creaciones e interpretaciones artísticas de la region. El Canto Nuevo tiene profundos orígenes en el mestizaje Latinoamericano, y así mismo muestra la expresión de los cambios revolucionarios y explosivos en el continente Latinoamericano de hoy en día.
La Trova Nuestra se podría definir como "El encuentro entre una persona, una guitarra y su poesía -- Voces apostando por un mundo mejor"

~ About Vancouver's "La Trova Nuestra"
La Trova Nuestra is a group of Troubadours, women and men, who originally come from all across Latin America and now reside in Vancouver. These Troubadours are the keepers of a musical tradition which began with the pioneers of the vernacular song. La Trova Nuestra incorporates this tradition interplaying music and poetry. These are the foundation and essence of “Canto Nuevo (New Song), a popular and cultural expression of people’s daily living in their artistic creations. Such expressions have deep origins within Mestizos (mixed roots) of Latin America -- an expression of the revolutionary and explosive changes within the continent of Latin America today. La Trova Nuestra could be defined as "The encounter between a person, a guitar and their poetry -- Voices pledging for a better world".
