Michael Buble, Jurgen Gothe to be honoured by B.C. Entertainment Hall of Fame

Today (March 10), Elizabeth Ball, former NPA councillor and president of the board of directors of the B.C. Entertainment Hall of Fame, announced that 10 new members are to be inducted into the Hall of Fame and included in the city’s Starwalk.

Inductees represent various art backgrounds and disciplines and include crooner Michael Buble, Nettweek Records founder Terry McBride, Gemini Award–winning actor Nicholas Campbell, and Straight contributor and radio personality Jurgen Gothe.

A ceremony will be held at the Orpheum on April 19 in honour of the new Hall of Famers and their contributions to the entertainment industry, both in B.C. and abroad. Wendy Gorling, Tom Harrison, Fanny Keifer, Bill Reiter, Gabrielle Rose, and Max Wyman will also join the ranks of the 179 British Columbians celebrated by the B.C. Entertainment Hall of Fame since its inauguration in 1994.

Assuming Granville Street gets its sidewalk back, plaques for each member will be added to the Starwalk running along the Entertainment District.
