VIFF Repeats series announced

As fun as it is to catch as many films as possible at the Vancouver International Film Festival, there's always the problem of time. In spite of films playing two or three times throughout the festival, it's not always easy to get to the ones that you want.

There are added screenings at the festival of popular films like Aftershock, Two Indians Talking, Protector, Fathers&Sons, and many more. Visit the VIFF website or check the pink update sheets at festival venues for full screening details.

But as luck would have it, there are not only added screenings at the festival, but also the VIFF Repeats series at Vancity Theatre (1181 Seymour Street) after the festival is over. Hurray!

Not only is there a week-long run of Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives by Thai director Apichatpong Weerasethakul, but there are also screenings of:
      A Drummer's Dream
Love Shines, the documentary about Canadian singer-songwriter Ron Sexsmith
      Wagner & Me
      Snow White
      Love Translated
      Kinshasa Symphony

Winds of Heaven, the documentary about iconic B.C. artist Emily Carr
      Desert of Forbidden Art

For screening details, visit the Vancity Theatre website.

Mind you, there are still movies playing at the festival until it ends on Friday.
