Crime writers' confab slated for this week

I’m getting set to host a panel of distinguished B.C. crime and mystery writers as part of Coastal Crime Wave, a free Thursday evening event (April 28) at the Vancouver Public Library cosponsored by the Crime Writers of Canada.

If you’re someone whose reading experience isn’t complete without a homicide or two, be sure to drop by. Not only will you hear this year’s shortlists for the esteemed Arthur Ellis Awards for Excellence in Canadian Crime Writing (set to be revealed at simultaneous events across the country). You’ll also have a chance to ask questions of panellists Melanie Jackson, Debra Purdy Kong, David Russell, Robin Spano, and Kay Stewart—a one-of-a-kind opportunity for anyone plotting out their first mystery story or work of crime fiction.

Check out the Crime Writers site for the details.
