Photos: St. James Community Service Society unveils new mural

I'm going to do my best imitation of Malcolm Parry and play the role of society columnist. Only this time, the event was in the Downtown Eastside, where society columnists rarely tread.

I attended the unveiling of a mural by Vancouver artists Joey Mallett and Rita Buchwitz, which was part of the Powell Street Festival that took place today.

Below, you can see some photos of the event. The art was created thanks to funding from the city's Celebrate Vancouver 125 mural program.
