The country is in mourning today for NDP leader Jack Layton, who is being hailed as a man of the people.

In this footage from an interview with Nardwuar the Human Serviette during the 2006 election campaign, Layton demonstrated his common touch, riffing on 1960s garage bands and doing a mean hip flip.
