When does mocking minorities cross the line between comedy and being political incorrect?

Well it's almost African Heritage Month (February), which will be followed by Asian Heritage Month in May.

Yet all this political correctness and awareness has resulted in comedians addressing the hilarity of political incorrectness in shows like The Office and Borat.

I recently discovered Minoriteam, a cartoon about a group of racial stereotype superheroes who battle a racist super enemy. The humour is fairly basic, nothing really witty in there.

Yet after the recent series of celebrities sticking their feet in their mouths and making racist remarks—Mel Gibson's anti-Semetic rant, Michael Richards' temper tantrum against African Americans, Rosie O'Donnell mocking the way Chinese people talk (not to mention Isiah Washington's homophobic comments)—is this really a good thing?
