There’s no end to the number of snippets of the outside world that get onto the Net and flourish in strange ways. Take You’re the Man Now, Dog (www.ytmnd.com/), which started out as one guy’s chintzy animation done to an audio loop of a bit of Sean Connery dialogue from Finding Forrester. After viewing the clip, other people started doing their own sampling and parodying using loops, and now there are about 400,000 YTMNDs (as they’re known) available for viewing on the site. It’s practically a festival.
