The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors Chartier Danse in Stria

The Dance Centre presents Chartier Danse in Stria as part of the Global Dance Connection series. The performance will take place at the Scotiabank Dance Centre (677 Davie Street) from Thursday to Saturday (April 25 to 27) at 8 p.m.

Stria is a solo work by Toronto-based choreographer and dancer Marie-Josée Chartier that combines movement, music, text, and voice. The piece follows Chartier through layers of experience, exploring themes of nature, love, and loss.

Stria premiered in Ontario in 2011 and has toured Montreal, Ottawa, Kitchener, and Winnipeg prior to arriving in Vancouver. Tickets to Stria are $20 to $30 and can be purchased online in advance.
