Vancouver Opera presents Die Fledermaus at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre (649 Cambie Street) from February 28 to March 8.

Die Fledermaus, which is translated to “The Bat”, is a German opera by composer Johann Strauss II. Based on a liberetto by Karl Haffner and Richard Genée, the opera looks at high society in Vienna. Die Fledermaus is lighthearted, romantic, nd funny.

This production features soprano Joyce El-Khoury as Rosalinde, tenor Roger Honeywell as Gabriel von Eisenstein, and Christopher Gaze as Frosch.
