The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors the Vancouver Folk Music Festival

Grab a blanket and head on down to Jericho Beach Park, where the 36^th annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival takes place Friday to Sunday (July 19 to 21).

This year, more than 60 folk, roots, and word music artists and groups will perform across seven stages during the day and three stages at night. Natalie Maines from the Dixie Chicks is among this year’s festival headliners, which include Steve Earle and the Dukes, The Cat Empire, Kathleen Edwards, Loudon Wainwright III, The Waterboys, DeVotchKa, and Hannah Georgas.

Tickets are priced between $40 and $165, including single concerts and weekend passes. Tickets can be purchased online, by phone at 604-602-9798, or in person.
