New Romeo and Juliet trailer takes another whack at the classic tale

After a slew of some truly terrible Romeo and Juliet remakes (I'm looking at you, Baz Luhrmann), it's refreshing to see a film version that gets back to the play's roots.

Original setting and costuming? Check. Main actors the correct age? Check. No substituting guns for swords? Check.

And although on first view it seems similar to Franco Zeffirelli's 1968 version, enough differences remain in terms of the modern score and updated language to give it a slick, YA feel.

All in all, it looks to be a solid adaptation aimed at drawing the younger crowd into classic literature. And I can't really find fault with that.
