What is Red Nose Day, you ask?

Every two years since 1988, people across Britain do something funny to raise money for a charity called Comic Relief.

It can be as simple as donning a red ball on your shnozz, with the proceeds funding relief programs in the U.K. and Africa.

The next Red Nose Day takes place tomorrow (March 13), which means the BBC will broadcast a ton of entertainment to encourage Britons to open their wallets.

This year as part of Red Nose Day, multiple Grammy winner Sam Smith is joining Oscar winner John Legend to perform "Lay Me Down" for the televised fundraiser, which will be held at the Palladium in London.

They also filmed a video, which you can see above.

Smith will be back in our part of the world in early August for the Squamish Valley Music Festival.

Sam Smith, John Legend? This is the best we can do? Why can't we get a 'Knotfest' or an 'Ozzfest'? Why does everything have be so banal around here?
