Robson Square doubled as North Korea today as actors Seth Rogen and James Franco acted out scenes for their new film The Interview.

With a massive statue towering over them, large green screens bordering the square, and actors in military garb roaming the set, the two actors shot various scenes of dialogue, while co-writer Evan Goldberg stood behind the cameras with script in hand.

The production has been filming in Vancouver since October, and is expected to continue into December. Other cast members include Lizzy Caplan, Rogen and Franco's former Freaks and Geeks co-star.

The film reportedly centres around a talk show host (Franco) and his producer (Rogen), who get involved in a plot to assassinate the North Korean leader.

Co-directors and writers Rogen and Goldberg are both originally from Vancouver, and worked on the script for Superbad as students at Point Grey secondary school.
