The Georgia Straight presents Elbow at the Commodore

      Live Nation has announced that British alt-rock group Elbow will play a show—with guest John Grant—at the Commodore Ballroom on May 23 in support of its sixth studio album, The Take Off and Landing of Everything.

      Elbow—consisting of Guy Garvey, Richard Jupp, Craig Potter, Mark Potter, and Pete Turner—formed in 1997.

      As with previous albums like The Seldom Seen Kid and build a rocket boys!The Take Off and Landing of Everything was produced by keyboardist Craig Potter. The album is set for a March 10 release.

      Tickets for the 19+ show are priced at $32.50 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale this Friday (February 14) at 10 a.m. on the Live Nation website. 

      Tickets are also available for purchase by phone at 1-855-985-5000, at Red Cat and Highlife Records, and all Ticketmaster Outlets.
