Fashioning Cancer dresses up disease at UBC (photos)

      These dresses are designed to get people talking.

      Not just because they're stylish. They're inspired by microscopic photos of cancer cells.

      The collection is called Fashioning Cancer: The Correlation between Destruction and Beauty, and it's the work of Jacqueline Firkins, an assistant professor in the department of theatre and film at UBC.

      On Tuesday (March 25) at noon, there will be a free public presentation and discussion of the collection at the Frederic Wood Theatre (6354 Crescent Road).

      By the way, the models in the photos are all UBC students.
