Jerk in the Can's latest stop-motion video is adorably twisted

The adorable clay family in Jerk in the Can's latest video is about as picture-perfect as it gets, except for one thing: Pop and son can't seem to figure out how to play catch.

Our favourite experimental noise pop duo (Marc and Jessica Blaquiere) work some serious magic in the stop-motion animation video for their single, Baseball Dad.

The track is one of seven on the local group's latest EP, Big Crime Baby.

Jessica's expansive, melancholy synths lay the framework for a story that almost stirs up feelings of nostalgia. Even Marc's lyrics ("This is a special moment/It's special 'cause I'm here with you") play into a mushy side of Jerk that we haven't quite seen before.

But anyone who's ever had the pleasure of watching a video by the husband-and-wife will know that nothing's ever as it seems in a Jerk In The Can video.
