Darby’s Public House has been a fixture in the Kitsilano neighbourhood of Vancouver for over 30 years.

It may soon become the latest addition to the city’s list of licensed restaurants.

A development application has been filed before city hall to change the use of the pub’s approximately 2,381-square-foot space at 2001 Macdonald Street into a restaurant.

The submission was made by Atelier Pacific Architecture Inc.

The application also sought 80 seats for the rooftop patio, and eight parking stalls underground.

City hall will receive comments from the public about the development application until July 22.

Darby’s Public House is owned by Lightheart Hospitality.
