Win Four tickets to The Fakespeare Festival

Just what your summer needs! Tickets to a cheeky new festival celebrating clever Canadian comedic twists of Shakespeare classics. Love the Bard, but need a new angle? Not a fan of Will, but love a saucy show with lots of laughs? Then The Fakespeare Festival is for you! At the York Theatre on Commercial Drive August 3 to 28.

Fresh from winning 2015’s Vancouver Fringe Festival Pick of the Fringe, TITUS: The Light and Delightful Musical Comedy of Titus Andronicus is even bigger and better, premiering its full two act glory!! Young William Shakespeare bemoans that no one seems to care for his Titus Andronicus? Well what could possibly improve murder and mayhem better than singing and dancing? And make it funny! Yes, that’s it; people love a comedy! More than a parody; it’s a bloody grand time!

Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet) is the funniest tragedy in town! Were Shakespeare’s classic tragedies Othello and Romeo and Juliet originally comedies that got lost in translation? That’s what Constance, a young English literature prof believes. So begins a comedic search for the ‘lost fool’, and possibly herself, with the intrepid help – and often hindrance - of wise Desdemona and fair Juliet!

      PRIZES

Two tickets to TITUS: The Light and Delightful Musical Comedy of Titus Andronicus, PLUS two tickets to Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet), any performance of your choice subject to availability, from August 3 to 28 at the York Theatre
