Atlantic/Warner recording group the Sheepdogs are touring across Canada following the release of their self-titled label debut album, which debuted at number one on the Top 200 SoundScan Chart. The Sheepdogs are the second Canadian band to debut at number one in 2012 (alongside Rush), and only one of six Canadian artists to hit number one this year.

Produced by the Black Keys' Patrick Carney and Austin Scaggs, The Sheepdogs marks the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan-based band embracing a vast span of influences to create a distinctive collection of brilliantly unabashed rock ‘n' roll.

Since coming together in 2006, the Sheepdogs have received widespread acclaim for their bold and beautiful take on classic guitar rock, evinced on three self-funded, independently released albums. The band's hard work, determination, and unprecedented skill have earned them a fervent fan following, leading to the accumulation of various achievements and awards. Their 2010 release, Learn & Burn, attained gold record certification in Canada and was ultimately honoured with a trio of Juno awards, including New Group of the Year, Single of the Year, and Rock Album of the Year. The album also saw tremendous radio success with two top five hits for the tracks "I Don't Know" and "Who?" Further, at the recent MuchMusic Video Awards, the video for the single "I Don't Know" won the award for Best Rock Video.
