Starting today through February 19, 73 London Drug locations across B.C. and Alberta will be selling a sterling-silver puzzle necklace ($25) to raise awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Puzzled Jewelry is founded by Patricia James, Keri Kennett, and Debbie Siu—mothers who have joined together following autism diagnoses’ that affected each of their sons.

All proceeds from the necklace will go towards the new Pacific Autism Family Centre (PAFC), the first of its kind in North America.

Creating the new autism centre will provide support and resources for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, a developmental condition that impacts typical brain growth. Common characteristics include difficulties with communication and social interactions, repetitive interests and activities, and stereotypic motor behaviors.

The PAFC is slated to open this summer, and will be a hub for research and collaboration, and will also provide resources such as treatment, counselling, and assessments.
