David Beckham stars in hilarious campaign for H&M’s new Modern Essentials collection

That smoldering stare, the perfectly coiffed hair, and those washboard abs—you can’t blame a guy for wanting to look like David Beckham, which makes the soccer star’s latest campaign for H&M that much funnier.

The campaign film, which shows Beckham strolling through the streets of Lisbon and encountering men, women, children, and animals dressed inexplicably like him—even after multiple wardrobe changes and a PG-13 towel drop—is meant to promote H&M’s spring 2016 Modern Essentials collection.

Style sleuths will recognize it as an extension of Beckham’s previous H&M collab, which co-starred Kevin Hart as a creepy method actor.

The menswear line consists of pieces specially curated by Beckham for spring and includes minimalist staples like boat-neck Ts, fitted trousers, and lightweight denim jackets starting at $17.99. We’re especially keen on the chino and navy-washed suit jackets, which should help ease West Coast boys into the art of evening dress.

The Modern Essentials selected by David Beckham collection drops at H&M stores in two shipments—one on February 18 and the other on March 10.

Check out some of our top picks from the line in the gallery above.
