Vancouver International Fringe Fest announces Pick of the Fringe

The Vancouver International Fringe Festival has announced its four Public Market Pick of the Fringe shows, selected to be held over at the Waterfront Theatre September 24 to 27 by audience ballot.

Fringe fans will now get another chance to see Fighting Chance Productions' Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead (a coming-of-age tale featuring an adolescent Charlie Brown and the gang); singer/songwriter John Pippus's Oh Winnipeg! (a one-man dramatic comedy that explores 1950's Winnipeg and music); Veenesh Dubois's Under the Mango Tree (a semi-autobiographical tale of love, loss and immigration); and Gemma Wilcox's The Honeymoon Period is Officially Over (a one-woman comedic tale of relationship aftermath). The festival is also presenting a fundraiser performance Charles Ross's now-legendary One Man Star Wars Trilogy, in which Ross plays all the characters, sings the music, and condenses the original trilogy into one hour.

Tickets are $16 for Pick of the Fringe and $20 for One Man Star Wars Trilogy, available at the Fringe Box Office or online at www.vancouverfringe.com.
