"Star Wars" Stardom

In other Fringe news, Lucasfilm has embraced Charles Ross's One Man Star Wars Trilogy, the inventive, virtuosic solo show that took last year's festival by storm. This July, the media giant flew Ross to Comic-Con International, a comic-industry convention in San Diego, where he performed the first 20 minutes of his hourlong homage and was rewarded with a standing ovation from an audience of 3,000. That's not all: in April 2005, Lucasfilm has invited Ross to Indianapolis to headline the kickoff party for its newest movie, Star Wars, Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. This summer, Ross is back on the Fringe circuit--he's part of the Vancouver festival's reunion show--performing One Man Lord of the Rings. No word yet about spinoffs from that one.
