Emily Carr University is promising its biggest-ever Student Art Sale this year—the 50th anniversary of the annual shopping event.

If you’re in the market for some new art, this is certainly the place for you, considering there will be over 225 artists offering up more than 1,000 artworks over three days.

First launched in 1973, the sale has become a staple on the calendar for those who love discovering emerging artists (and, you know, who maybe can’t afford the pieces that hang in white-cube galleries).

“It’s always so exciting to get the chance to see the range of student creativity beyond their course assignments,” says Diyan Achjadi, Interim Vice-President Academic + Provost at Emily Carr. “I think the whole university feels it, and it’s truly affirming to see how our students’ work resonates with art-lovers from across the city as well.”

Attendees can expect a wide range of items, including original sculpture, paintings, and ceramics, along with jewellery, photography, prints, and even wearables.
