The Georgia Straight presents Pet Shop Boys at Queen Elizabeth Theatre

Live Nation has announced that British synthpop duo Pet Shop Boys will perform at Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Thursday, October 3, in support of its upcoming album Electric.

Composed of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, Pet Shop Boys is the most successful pop duo in the UK with 12 top-ten studio albums and 40 top-20 singles, including 1984's "West End Girls", to its name.

Pet Shop Boys released its 11th studio album, Elysium, in late 2012, and will follow up with Electric on July 15 of this year.

Say Tennant and Lowe: “Our latest album often evolves as a response to our previous album and, whereas Elysium had a reflective mood, Electric is pretty banging!"

Tickets for the show are priced at $39.50, $65.00, and $89.50 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale Friday (May 3) at 10 a.m. but Straight readers can take advantage of our exclusive presale on Thursday (May 2) from 10 a.m.–10 p.m. by going to the Ticketmaster website and submitting our exclusive presale password boys.
