Madonna yanked to the stage at Brit Awards

Madonna has done a lot of things admirably over the years, from changing up her image to staying atop pop trends to proving that everyone looks better in latex.

What she doesn't do very well is recover from being violently yanked backwards down a flight of stairs at the 2015 BRIT Awards. Madge isn't the first artist to take a tumble mid-performance--remember Beyonce a couple of years back?

What makes this one strange is how she takes a few seconds to regroup, before eventually deciding that the show must go on.

Watch. And wince. And then wonder what kind of beating the guy that stupidly tugged on Superwoman's cape got backstage.

She didn't recover well? Are you on Quaaludes?! "She takes a few seconds to regroup..." A few seconds is fuck-all!! Did you SEE what happened to her? She was yanked backwards, hard, down some stairs, and landed with a thud! If that had been you, me, or anyone else, we'd have stayed down there wailing "owwwww" for probably a good minute, rubbing our sorely bruised hip and probably carried offstage.

This was utterly stupid. The woman got up and finished singing and dancing like the 30+ year pro she is "a few seconds" after being dragged backwards down some steps by a cape in front of millions of people.
