Following a threat from Anonymous to disable the RCMP's cyber infrastructure, the Mounties' website was out of service yesterday.

But the RCMP has claimed that the problem was due to maintenance issues and it's back in service today.

That's not going over well with the loose network of activist computer hackers that is believed to be behind the @YourAnonNews Twitter account.

Today, it tweeted the following message: "1/RCMP told CBC we didn't take them down yesterday. Cool story, bro. Explain this."

Below the tweet is the following heavily redacted document:

@YourAnonNews followed up with another tweet demanding the arrest of police "who shot our #AnonDown by next Monday, 5pm pst."

"If not, ALL YOUR SECRETS ARE BELONG TO CANADIAN PEOPLE."

Yesterday, Anonymous issued a video news release on YouTube registering its outraged over a Mountie shooting a protester in a Guy Fawkes mask in Dawson Creek on July 16. It followed a disturbance at a B.C. Hydro public-information meeting concerning the proposed $8.8-billion Site C dam.

A knife was recovered near the scene and the Independent Investigations Office of B.C. is investigating what happened.

Today, the B.C. Coroners Service is expected to identify the man who died.

Anonymous has declared that if the officer isn't identified, fired, and charged, it will seek revenge in several ways, including by leaking documents.
