Are you easy prey for smartphone thieves?

The Vancouver Police Department must be tired of receiving calls from people crying about stolen smartphones.

I say this because, in partnership with TransLink and the Metro Vancouver Transit Police, the VPD has launched an awareness campaign about mobile device theft.

The campaign features two videos, as well as posters on the regional transit system.

According to a VPD news release, there have already been 148 reported incidents of mobile device theft involving "some form of violence" this year.
