The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Out of a Dream

Patrick Street Productions presents Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Out of a Dream, a musical revue show at the York Theatre (639 Commercial Drive) from February 5 to 16. Out of a Dream was conceived and directed by PSP co-artistic producer Peter Jorgensen and features of cast of local musical theatre actors.

“With Out of a Dream we celebrate two masters who almost single-handedly created the golden era of musical theatre,” Jorgensen stated in a news release. “From their first collaboration on Oklahoma! to their final collaboration on The Sound of Music, there is an undeniable majesty to their creations. Their voice, authentic and transcendent, is as affecting as anything written today—through songs like “If I Loved You”, “Wonderful Guy”, “We Kiss in the Shadow”, or “Some Enchanted Evening” we reach, we struggle, we rejoice, we desire... in short, we live more deeply through their unparalleled expression.”

Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Out of a Dream features actors and singers Kazumi Evans, Kaylee Harwood, Warren Kimmel, Caitriona Murphy, and Sayer Roberts, with orchestrations and musical direction by Nico Rhodes.
