B.C. Hydro crews have been busy this morning.
The Crown utility's Twitter feed stated that thousands of customers lost electricity in several areas of the Lower Mainland, including Surrey, Port Coquitlam, Pitt Meadows, Burnaby, Richmond, Langley, and New Westminster.
It came as a result of an early-morning windstorm.
Meanwhile, a morning high tide caused some flooding of homes along Boundary Bay.
