A 36-year-old Vancouver man has not been seen since Thursday (June 16).

Randy Galawan has been a community educator with Check Your Head and conducted research for the B.C. office of the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives in 2012.

Galawan has also encouraged book publishers to use more environmentally sustainable paper supplies.

BCIT faculty association employee Kyla Epstein sent out the following tweet to raise awareness about his disappearance.

A former student activist, Galawan grew up on a farm in Richmond. In 2013, he helped his father and other farmers when they launched a campaign to oppose the dumping of demolition waste on agricultural land.
