Pipeline protesters crash Kinder Morgan staff party in North Vancouver

    1 of 2 2 of 2

Employees of Kinder Morgan were probably hoping for some good food, lots of booze, and a little office gossip.

They also got a side order of protesters opposed to their company's controversial Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project.

Beyond Boarding, the snowboarders-for-good organization founded by Tamo Campos (David Suzuki's grandson), has posted the following video showing climate-change activists interrupting a Kinder Morgan staff dinner at Fishworks in North Vancouver.

Unfortunately, you can't hear the employees' responses due to the video's commentary.

Leading protesters into the seafood restaurant was Audrey Siegl, Musqueam First Nation activist and former COPE council candidate.

Foolishly, this group protested the staff of Kinder Morgan Terminals Canada, partly located on First Nation land, under Lions Gate br, who have been providing a good livelyhood to many First Nations workers since the 60's

I stand with the first nations. Thank you for continuing the struggle to protect the land and the sea.

Kinder Morgan execs eating at a sustainable seafood restaurant might as well be a pedophile guild meeting at a chuck e cheese.
      A sick farce,
      good job protesters.
Thank you for caring about our coast.

Hold the phone, you telling me that a group of snowboarders decided to campaign for social justice? They may want to check out how their snowboards are actually made...

Do some research Hui. The company may be owned by Kinder Morgan but they have nothing to do with the pipeline and they have a right to have jobs and provide for their families. You are also making money from a company the not only encourages the cutting down of trees for paper, but champions the manufacture of plastic and polluting the environment with discarded plastic and metals from computer devices used to read this magazine.

What makes this even more moronic is that a group of snowboarders are getting all righteous about the environment while they get their kicks standing on pieces of fiberglass and sliding down hills that are purposefully cleared just so they can have fun. They are also forcing animals to retreat from their natural habitats by being there and all of their loud 'woo wooing'. They are rednecks and Stephen Hui is a terrible journalist.

Silly Rabbit, protests aren't for kids.

      Jan 27, 2015 at 3:54pm

...especially the little kids being dragged to the protests by their parents to help hold a sign.

      #letsallprotest!

I hate to have to say it, but these teens just don't have the life experience or education to understand the complexities of the issues at hand.

I 100% support the rights of protesting, but these ill-conceived 'pop-up' protests are doing more harm than good.

      Chalk-up a point for KM.
