To protest Donald Trump and Islamophobia, Our Revolution Canada is holding lunchtime demonstrations at Vancouver's U.S. Consulate.

Our Revolution Canada (formerly B.C. for Bernie) is expressing their opposition to the U.S. ban on people travelling from seven countries with Muslim majorities.

They also demand the immediate release of anyone who is being illegally detained.

The event will also be a mourning for the people killed in the shooting at a mosque in Quebec City on January 29.

The No Ban! No Wall! Sanctuary For All! protests will be held from noon to 1 p.m. today and tomorrow (January 30 and 31) at the U.S. Consulate in Vancouver (1075 West Pender Street).

Organizers hope to inform people about the upcoming National Days of Action Against Islamophobia and Deportations.

They also plan to ask passersby to call the U.S. Consulate and their MPs to demand a removal of the travel ban on Muslim people.

Attendees are encouraged to bring signs, banners, noisemakers, and the like.

The hashtag for the protest is #NoMuslimBan.
