U.K.-based trio Phronesis among the newest batch of jazz fest concerts

      As part of its upcoming 32nd annual edition, the TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival has announced nine more concerts.

      The festival, which takes place at various Vancouver venues from June 22 to July 2, will present a new three-concert series at the Imperial, plus six additions to the Performance Works series.

      June 24 will see nine-member Montreal world-fusion ensemble Nomadic Massive take the stage at Performance Works.

      On June 25, Syrian electronica-dance artist Omar Souleyman performs at the Imperial with Hyenas DJs.

      U.K.-based jazz trio Phronesis, composed of bassist Jasper Høiby, pianist Ivo Neame, and drummer Anton Eger, headlines at Performance Works on June 25.

      On June 26, Performance Works will host a concert by trumpeter Ingrid Jensen, saxophonist Christine Jensen, guitarist Ben Monder, bassist Fraser Hollins, and drummer Jon Wikan.

      June 26 will see Canadian indie-rock band Land of the Talk, with Half Waif, headline at the Imperial.

      London-based, Grammy-nominated jazz-fusion guitarist Jacob Collier takes the stage at Performance Works on June 27.

      Space-pop quartet Shobaleader One, composed of Strobe Nazard, Company Laser, Arg Nution, and Tom Jenkinson, performs with V.Vecker at the Imperial on June 28.

      On June 29, American jazz guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel and his band perform latest release Caipi at Performance Works.

      Halifax-based, six-member swing ensemble Gypsophilia headlines at Performance Works on June 30.
