Tony Blair was a "money-grabbing young man", according to a British newspaper report
In recent years, former British prime minister Tony Blair has come under fire for his unapologetic autobiography, his record as an alleged war criminal, and for refusing to support gay rights during a news conference in Liberia.
Now comes word that he's a cheapskate, too.
There's a report in the Telegraph purporting that Blair was a "money-grabbing young man" who used to charge £5 to have his photo taken.
Blair's spokesperson dismissed the claim, which was made by British casino owner Jimmy Thomas.
However, the Telegraph noted that Blair charged up to £180 for photos at the Surrey Regional Economic Summit in 2009.
Prior to the summit, Vancouver lawyer Gail Davidson tried without success to have Blair declared inadmissable to Canada for allegedly violating this country's Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Act.
Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney refused to take action.
Kenney is the same cabinet minister who barred former British MP George Galloway from visiting Canada because, according to a Federal Court ruling, the government disagreed with his political views.
George Galloway visits Jason Kenney's office.

Tony reminds me of Bill Clinton, both expert liars. Their sanctions against Iraq killed half a million children. He attended the 93' Bilderberg Meeting in Greece before becoming Labour leader in 94'. A couple years later they made him P.M. as planned for his reliability as successfully programmed puppet. It appears Mr.Kenney is working for the same gangsters behind Tony. and those anti-defamers defaming George Galloway.

Tony Blair had to make his money some how. He isn't any different than all the former politicians who hit the road with their speechs charging tens of thousands. Its a way to make money if you weren't born richer than the Queen.
Blair is much like Clinton & other politicians who appear to have the interests of the working people in mind but it is really their own interests they have in mind. It is part of today's society or maybe we just notice it more because the media is more open about discussing it. It is no different than movie, pop, rap, stars charging for an appearance anywhere. Its to make money.

"A couple years later they made him P.M"
You mean, British voters made him PM. Don't let the people who voted for him off the hook.
