Mark Your Calendar: Carnaval del Sol is coming back for its 16th year

    1 of 1 2 of 1

One of the most prominent Latin American festivals in the Pacific Northwest is once again bringing the sun to everyone’s favourite rainy city.

Vancouver’s Carnaval del Sol will be running from July 5 to 7 in Jonathan Rogers Park, bringing live music, dance, and Latin American traditions to Mount Pleasant. More than 350 artists, including Mazacote and Casa Meshiko Danza, will be presenting over 30 hours of live entertainment.

The event also features engaging cultural workshops that bring the spirit and values of Latin America to the West Coast. This year’s opening night is in collaboration with the Vancouver Pride Society, and is going to focus a lens on cultural diversity and 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion.

See the full list of event programming here, with more information to be announced in the coming weeks.
