Leave it to the boneheads to downvote this one. I salute you for speaking your truth and not giving a rat's behind what others think. However others perceive you is none of your business, and it takes a lot to stand up and speak out. Good on you for sticking to your guns and ignoring those whiny-assed phoney baloney hypocritical snowflakes. I don't know your situation or background but you kind of remind me somewhat of myself when I was young. I had a large circle of friends back in the day. I'd been loyal to them since I thought they were my friends. Only two of them have been kept in my life because of their genuinely good character and complete utter sincerity. The rest? I saw them for their true colors. Nothing but a bunch of fair weathered hypocrites. If you had to cut some people completely out of your life, then they certainly gave you valid reasons. Lesson learned; better to have two shiny quarters in your pocket rather than overflow it with fifty useless, dusty old pennies. Friends come and go, but real ones stick around. Garbage in, garbage out.

I was called that by a former co-worker who seemed pretty intense to me. My dad is also pretty intense, he used to work for GMAC. It's always intense when you're a repo man.

I’ve met a few people like you. They pride themselves on just telling it like it is (according to them only of course), but generally they’ve just been aggressive and rude to others. They were the ones who felt entitled to tell you what you should do or what they thought about your lifestyle even when it was none of their business. Or they would tell you something “for your own good”, which was really just a way to openly insult you while justifying it to themselves. So as long as you’re minding your own business and being respectful when you express your own opinion when it’s appropriate, by all means carry on being “blunt”.
