Presented by New Works, the May edition of Dance Allsorts will feature a mixed program of contemporary dance, showcasing two new works by Desirée Dunbar. Illuminating Shadow, a new solo created and performed by Desirée, is an exploration in bringing light to that which is hidden. Submerge is an ensemble piece performed by the Dezza Dance company, which examines the physical manifestation of power and vulnerability. The piece features new music performed by Elliot Vaughan and lighting design by James Kokol.

Dezza Dance is local Contemporary dance company founded by Artistic Director Desirée Dunbar, MFA. The company is dedicated to all things dance that encourage its community members to live an inspired life! Dezza Dance is the resident dance company with Moberly Arts & Cultural Centre and West Point Grey Community Centre in Vancouver.
