      "They Shoot Movies, Don't They?"

After a two-year break, the Cinematheque's 24 Hour Movie Marathon returns on Saturday (May 27), challenging Vancouver's cinephiles yet again to prove their devotion to the artform we love, not to mention our courage in the face of the gastrointestinal fallout unique to an all-popcorn diet.

As ever, the lineup is a secret, although the Straight knows at least one of the titles that's screening this year, and we can assure you that—yes—you want to see it. (Also, if you scour this week's movie section, you'll stumble on a small clue.)

It all begins at 10 a.m., and if an entire day and night of finely curated cinema isn't enough of an incentive, weirdo, how about the prizes, special guests, craft beer happy hour, non-popcorn edibles, and power nap zone?
