This morning, joggers and walkers in Stanley Park were confronted by yellow police tape between Second and Third beaches.

That's because a man's dead body was discovered around 11 p.m. along the seawall.

The Vancouver Police Department's major crime squad is investigating what it's called a "homicide".

It's the second homicide in the year in Vancouver.

The first occurred on January 27 when 62-year-old Joseph Billy Butskinski was shot in the Savoy Hotel and died in hospital.
