The next time you pick up a cold one, you can help those who are suffering because of the scorching wildfires in the B.C. Interior.

That's because B.C. Liquor Stores customers make now donations to the Canadian Red Cross at B.C. Liquor Stores.

According to a news release issued today, these contributions can be made in increments of $2, $5, or any multiples of these numbers.

The money will help the nearly 10,000 British Columbians who've been forced out of their homes over the past week because of wildfires.

"Our partnership with B.C. Liquor Stores provides an easy way for people to reach out and help their fellow British Columbians affected by the fires," B.C. and Yukon Canadian Red Cross vice president Kimberley Nemrava said. "Thank you to B.C. Liquor Stores and their customers for their support—these donations will help us provide on-the-ground efforts and emergency resources for those in need."

People can also donate through the Canadian Red Cross website to help those affected by B.C. wildfires.
