Prerequisite: Participants must have basic computer literacy (e.g., saving files, facility with a mouse and keyboard).

This workshop introduces you to video editing, covering the technical, theoretical, and creative dimensions of the process. You’ll learn different editing techniques through case studies, historical examples, and hands-on application of those ideas by doing exercises in Adobe Premiere, a powerful and flexible video editing system that integrates with Photoshop, After Effects, and other Adobe Creative Suite software.

Learn how to:
- Set up and Organize an editing session efficiently
- Ingest footage properly
- Apply conventional & unconventional editing techniques
- Work with sound, music, and transitions
- Encode your final work to an appropriate file format

Understand Premiere’s big selection of tools for cutting, tweaking, manipulating and experimenting with your video. Develop your aesthetic and analytical perspective to recognize the impact of each cut. In addition to editing a short video, you’ll gain the initial skills and creative framework to wade through all that footage and distil an impactful story!
