Produced by Danny Boyle and cowritten by Trainspotting novelist Irvine Welsh, this biopic of the self-styled President of Brit Pop, Alan McGee is a welcome star vehicle for Ewen Bremner (best known for playing Spud in Trainspotting). McGee, of course, discovered Oasis and signed them to his label Creation Records.
