Cirque du Soleil's Quidam at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre

Cirque du Soleil hasn’t erected a Grand Chapiteau on False Creek this summer, so those craving a neo-circus fix will have to head to Abbotsford. From Wednesday to next Sunday (August 29 to September 2), its classic Quidam, last here in Vancouver as a stadium show in 2011, is hitting the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre. It’s a spectacle known for acrobatic numbers like the banquine (think dizzyingly high human pyramids), a dazzling skipping-rope number, and lots of aerial work, as well as some supreme clowning.
