Cirque du Soleil is known for erecting its giant tent every other summer downtown, but it's just announced a spring show that will take place in a stadium here.

Quidam will come to Rogers Arena for eight performances from March 9 to 13, 2011.

Tickets could make good Christmas gifts and go on sale December 6 online or by calling 604-280-4444.

Quidamwas created as a big-top show and travelled here under the Grand Chapiteau in 2004. Its reincarnation as a stadium show is new.

Cirque has also announced that its show Dralion will hit the Abbottsford Entertainment and Sports Centre from June 2 to 5.

The production, which draws on ancient Chinese circus traditions, has never hit town before.
